Blackpool Weekend
On 1st September 2007 I went for a drunken weekend in Blackpool, got there at about 12ish drank about 5 guiness by 4pm it was quite surreal being in a club (in britain) in daylight. I'm not quite sure where I went after then it was all a blur but I do remember a bit of pole dancing and getting a sore groin doing it, I was trying to get my leg over but I was too drunk, someone took a picture too. I stayed out till about 4ish and had to get to bed I remembered the hotel room number I left my bag so nocked the door, but no answer, I asked the hotel staff for the key and they let me in. I fell asleep only to be woken at 5am to be accused of stealing someone's room it was a twin room (with 2 beds) anyway it was not like a double lol. I paid for it the following day with 3 hours sleep and a hangover, this was one sunday I didn't play football.

Biked 5 miles, 1 hour in Gym, and biked back 5 miles
I usually drive to the gym, but not today, I was on a mission, despite my brother doing this every other day. It was a mission for me, for I have not been on my bike for months. Yesturday I replaced the inner tube of the front wheel as it had a double puncture, and dusted off the cobwebs. God! as I type its its chucking it down (raining), that was close good job I missed that down poor. Made it to the gym did more abbs work which I don't normally do as normally I do it at karate but as I missed karate last night, I thought what the hell I'll do that as well as a full workout. Feeling good after that I can now have a well deserved rest..

Ben and Gemma's Wedding and Reception @ Ponsbourne Park
Ben, one of my second cousins (on my mum's side of the family) got married to Gemma today it was the best day of the year so far with all the sunshine you could want on a wedding day. The day started with my sister, brother and I making our way down to Hertfordshire, I was glad to get a lift off my sister which meant I could drink. We first arrived at Ponsbourne Park to give my sister a opportunity to get glammed up, even though we weren't staying the whole night my sister used mum and dad's room to get ready.

Tried and Tested Civic Type-R, Astra GSi Turbo and Astra Coupe 2.2i
This was a busy day for me as I first went to Colliers Honda, in Sutton Coldfield to test drive the Honda Civic Type-R, boy is that car fast, especially when rev'd up to 6'000rpm. Next after that I went to the Vauxhall garage to test the Astra GSi Turbo which was another 200bhp car, but was 52 plate and 19000 miles on the clock, but that shifted as well. I then test drove a brand new 54 plate Astra Coupe 2.2i which was again nice to drive but not quite as quick as the other two, still 147bhp though. Price wise the Astra Coupe 2.2i, had the best value deal.

Completed Half-Life 2 at 18:55
After playing Half-Life 2 for long periods (aprox. 4 hours at a time) since I received it on 18th November and through my determination I have just completed it this evening. That has to be my best record yet for game completion normally I get bored and leave the game for a while then go back to it but this game had me hooked. Very good game, had great fun with the Gravity Gun especially the new improved one towards the end of the game, being able to through soldiers was cool.

My first Premiership Football Match, at last I had the chance to experience the crowd atmosphere, instead of sitting in a pub or on the sofa.

Been to Hell and back but have now completed Doom 3(PC)
I have just (this minute) completed Doom 3, a wicked game, the Cyberdemon took me a while but after reading the article on the doom3portal website I knew what to do. I am now looking for my next game to challenge my gaming skills, I may get Quake IV (from fighting demons from hell to all out War with strogg) which looks good, although I will have to pre-order it off Amazon.

Car Stereo has been replaced at my own expense!
It is an urban myth that "The victims of theft are not affected financially because they are insured". When my car stereo was stolen it would have cost me more in the long run if I made a claim for my stereo because I would lose the No Claims Discount, have to pay an extra 20% of the premium (£100) and have to pay an excess of £100. Meaning that I loose at least £200, not including any discount I would normally get. Of course I did not make a claim but bought a replacement instead at my own expense. Therefore if anyone has bought an Alpine Stereo in the last few weeks on or after the 12/09/2004 with the following description: Model: CDA-9807R Serial no: AL9807R0218954, S30218954 I would very much appreciate you report the person you purchased the unit from to the West Midlands Police (Steel House Lane) Tel. 08451135000.

Karate training @ Zen-Shin Black Belt Academy, Hockley, Birmingham where my Car Stereo was Stolen! Bastards!
I thought this weekend was going to be great I was going to go to Paul's wedding reception on Saturday night and on Sunday enjoy a training session at my karate club, but I was very much mistaken. Sunday was going well had just about recovered from the night before and had a massive breakfast of 3 poached eggs on toast. I then arrived at my Karate training session with Darren. I enjoyed the training it was great, until that was, somebody reported that someone had smashed the passenger side window and stole my Alpine CDM-9807RB stereo worth £211.98 from my car. I of course had to get the police involved and they came quite quick, and they assessed the crime scene, and made a few notes. The only thing was that the bastard(s) were not caught on CCTV and nobody came forward to witness the event, typical! I then had a cold drive home as the sun had gone in, just my luck. I then had someone out to fix my window (£50 excess) and am now contemplating whether to make a claim for my stereo, £100 excess. If anyone is offered this stereo please contact the local West Midlands Police (Steel House Lane) 08451135000.

Paul's Wedding Reception @ De Vere Belfry
The wedding reception was great I arrived on time, and managed to catch the tail ending to the main dinner speeches from Paul and Mark. The night then started, the drinks were expensive (£3.55 per pint of stella) but the food was very tasty and the company wasn't that bad either so I had a good time.

Black/Brown Belt Course and Karate Grading @ Zen-Shin Black Belt Academy, Hockley, Birmingham
Four times each year there is a black/brown belt course for those that have a brown belt or higher. The course is there to give additional training for those of a higher grade and also doubles up as a pre-grading for those that are grading immediately afterwards. The course started a bit late at about 1:30pm and lasted till 4pm, the Grading started at about 4:30pm and lasted till 7:30pm. Although I was not grading myself the course was useful to help me learn a new KATA 'Nijushiho'. Alan and Darren on the other hand took there 1st DAN (Black belt) grading and passed with A passes, Well done guys!

Karate Club for Fireworks then to Broad St, Birmingham
This was a good but cold and wet night in Birmingham with hot food and fireworks at my karate club. The fireworks were entertaining, especially when one of the catherine wheels flew off nearly hitting sensei and brian. Taj and I were made to dance on the dance floor but we soon got bored and decided to call it a night. Although Taj went home I got him to drop me off at The Works where I met up with Kevin, Simon and Nafe (Simon's friend from work) . At this point they had already had a skin full and were well on their way to getting totally wasted. I was then on catchup with the spirits. Kevin had his new camera and we were snapping all the girls we met, take a look in the Gallery. I tell you now there are some real beauties here.

'Night at the Oscars' @ Birmingham Conservatoire
Another night in Birmingham not too late this time because I am working at 8am. I went to see my friend's girlfriend play in concert. The music was classical and was from films such as Lord of The Rings, E.T, Shindler's List, Star Wars and more other films I was less familiar with.

Night Out @ The Works on Broad St, Birmingham
Making the most of the free time I spent my Saturday night out on the Town with Kevin and Simon. I had a bit to drink and eat as normal. We got a lift off Simon's folks and started drinking at Wetherspoons which was ram packed. The night then progressed onto Revolutions for some shots and a rest on the soft leather 3 piece sweets, which was lucky because it was also rammed. It was getting closer to 10 or 11 so we set off to The Works where we danced all night till closing (3 am). I also paid for the privilege of having my hands washed and getting a spray of aftershave. The dance music was a mix of old and new and you can listen to it from there web site (linked above). The drink always helps me get into the mood for dancing, the last time I danced without alcohol was a few years back at College when I went to Passion in Coalvile. Fuel for the night: | 1 pint of Guinness, 1 glass of white wine with dinner | 1 pint of stella, 3 archers and lemonade at Wetherspoons | 2 shots of strawberry shots, 1 wkd blue in Revolutions | 2 Red bulls (or equivalent) while in The Works | Chips from the fish and chip shot because McDs was closed. |

Ten Pin Bowling Results
I have put the results under the Gallery section for all to view. The first games were tenpin1.jpg and tenpin3.jpg which were the only ones that contained the correct names. The other two tenpin2.jpg and tenpin4.jpg contained mixed results but all that were there should know who got what score.

Failed Karate Grading after having a memory lapse.
The grading from 2nd kyu to 1st kyu involves a lot of memory, skill and focus. I had been training for the last three months for this and for some reason I had not paid enough attention to the previous Kata's and forgot half of the movements. I was not impressed with this and nor was my instructor. I now have to wait a further 3 months to grade again but I suppose not everything can go the way you expect it. I have to now work myself harder and not give in to nights on the town.
